Flogging Molly – December 9th – Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

The Los Angeles band Flogging Molly sold-out the Ogden Theatre last Tuesday, and the enormous group of fans was not disappointed. People lined the balconies and crowded the floor, resulting in an incredibly hot venue. There were several kilts spotted in the crowd, a few European accents were heard, and newsboy hats were the accessories of the night. The band played a long set that spanned the bands’ fifteen-year (and counting) career.

Joey Cape – September 8th – The Walnut Room

Estimated read time 8 min read

The Walnut Room was packed for an acoustic night of music played by some of Punk Rock’s greatest doing a full night of acoustic performances. Several drunks were shushed during the show as it was a quiet room and at times hard to hear the performers over them. Despite the annoyance, the laid-back audience didn’t seem to care too much, they were just happy to see the Punk Rock superstar Joey Cape live in a piano bar or singer/songwriter type of setting rather than a raucous Punk club.
