The Premier UllrGrass music and beer festival will be held in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Golden, CO this weekend. It will be a magical weekend when the Norse God of snow comes to this little western town to raise his drinking horn to craft beer, great Bluegrass and a crowd that knows how to have fun in winter. Featuring Peter Rowan, Head For The Hills and many more!
It was a cold, snowy night in Nederland, Colorado. But the town was hoppin’ as it was in the midst of the annual Frozen Dead Guy Days festival. Over at Whistler’s Café The Grant Farm was getting ready to take the stage. Driving up to Ned in an old van was a then little known group of street performers turned club players called Fruition. While neither band knew it at the time, one of those cosmic crossing of the paths was about to take place. But it wasn’t all in the stars . . .
Part 2 of 2 – Approximately 140 miles west of Denver sits a plot of land at the base of Yarmony Mountain. Tucked away there, right on the banks of the Colorado River, is the picturesque resort known as Rancho Del Rio. Once a year hundreds of beautiful people turn off their cell phones, say goodbye to society, and descend upon this secluded paradise. YarmonyGrass is the reason for this pilgrimage into the Rockies. The brainchild of festival curator Andrew Mconathy; Yarmonygrass has become the premier Jamgrass festival in Colorado.

A near capacity crowd of avid bluegrass fans gathered at Mishawaka Amphitheatre Saturday evening to greet Fort Collins own, Head For The Hills. With a performance that featured lots of originals and some truly fun covers, the local boys shined on the home court. With The Grant Farm opening the evening, the two bands combined for a spectacular evening of bluegrass deep in the Poudre Canyon.
