For the 9th year, The Boulder Theater gathered a slew of the best musicians from the Front Range, and from the Jamband scene in general, for the annual “Mark Vann Foundation Benefit Concert.” Overall it was a very classy event put on for an amazing foundation. It is a great thing to see so many people come out and celebrate life while giving back to people who may not have the opportunity to celebrate themselves. The way music can bring people together, put smiles on faces, and brighten days, is truly spectacular.

Great American Taxi has always had a simple plan behind their band — don’t make any plans, just see what happens. That’s not a tough concept to grasp for anyone who has ever seen vocalist and guitarist Vince Herman play with Taxi, or with his other band, Leftover Salmon. Herman has always approached performing in his relaxed style of ‘just jump out of the airplane and I’m sure you’ll find a ’chute before you hit the ground.’
