Taking Back Sunday – March 4th – Summit Music Hall

Many fans braved the single digit temperatures Wednesday night to watch Taking Back Sunday in a sold-out Summit Music Hall. Many people came down to the theater that night expecting to make a purchase, and ended up leaving disappointed. Sadly, the band did not perform as well as expected, and even the fans who got their tickets in time left a little bit disappointed.

Flogging Molly – December 9th – Ogden Theatre

The Los Angeles band Flogging Molly sold-out the Ogden Theatre last Tuesday, and the enormous group of fans was not disappointed. People lined the balconies and crowded the floor, resulting in an incredibly hot venue. There were several kilts spotted in the crowd, a few European accents were heard, and newsboy hats were the accessories of the night. The band played a long set that spanned the bands’ fifteen-year (and counting) career.

Riot Fest – September 19th, 20th, 21st – Sports Authority Field

Although Riot Fest celebrated it’s tenth anniversary this year, it was only the second year that the festival has come to Colorado. The festival was originally located in Byers, but after the town refused to let festival attendees return for the second year, the event was moved to the blacktop at Sports Authority Field in Denver. Riot Fest is one-of-a-kind festival, with carnival rides and sideshows and a wide variety of music ranging from Rock to Punk to Rap.
