Stoney’s Bar and Grill may be better known for its TVs, plastic pitchers and sports loving crowd, but it’s stage hosted some of the best musicians in Denver last Friday night when Come Together: A Denver Beatles Experience brought together over 20 Mile High musicians, and countless smiling faces who sang as one all night long to the music of The Fab Four.

Daniel Watters of The Oak Creek Band sat down with Listen Up Denver! back in November to talk a bit about “Come Together: A Denver Beatles Experience.” The event, which takes place tonight at Stoney’s Bar and Grill, will feature members of The Oak Creek Band, The Congress, Mountain Standard Time, Kinetix, Fox Street Allstars, Atomga, and many more. This is a line-up you will not want to miss as they come together to play some of the most popular songs of all time!!!

PICK OF THE WEEK: The Congress – The Bluebird – May 4th
The Congress is a rock and roll machine. Anchored by strong songwriting, they draw comparisons to Little Feat, The Rolling Stones, and The Black Crowes while maintaining an originality that is attracting the attention of critics across the country. In 2011 The Congress played Wakarusa, High Sierra, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Targhee Fest, Tall Tree Lake, and more. Now, they are the cusp of releasing their debut full length album with an epic celebration at The Bluebird Theatre on Friday night May 4th.
Cervantes’ “Spring Thaw” – March 3rd – Cervantes’
Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom hosted a dual venue event dubbed “The Spring Thaw Showcase” last weekend and seven local bands were given the chance to “showcase” their talents on two different stages. These bands would normally not play the stages they were on, but were given the opportunity… if they provided some sweat equity leading up to the night. Bands were given tickets prior to the show, and they hit the streets promoting the evening, and giving the tickets away so people could get a chance to see them strut their stuff.
