The String Cheese Incident – March 4th – Fox Theatre

Estimated read time 1 min read

The String Cheese Incident wrapped up a two night stand in the intimate confines of The Fox Theatre in Boulder on Saturday night with a show that delivered some old chestnuts in the form of “Walls of the Cave,” “Blackberry Blossom,” and a very fitting “Bigger Isn’t Better” alongside some of the band’s new materials like “Can’t Wait Another Day,” “Believe,” “Let’s Go Outside,” and the debut of the Hollingsworth penned “One and Only.” While the energy in the room was strong, when all was said and done, the show left this Cheesehead was longing for the days when the band headlined this room on their way up.

The String Cheese Incident – Sunday, July 17 – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

It was a great afternoon for some Cheese on the Rocks. The golden summer sun slanted down from the west with no hint of rain, and a cool breeze swept over the storied amphitheater. The whole of Red Rocks had a backyard barbeque vibe; someone even brought potato salad. Adding to the BBQ vibe, Colorado’s own bluegrass masters Hot Rize came out with SCI for what they dubbed “Hot Cheese Rizing.”

Leftover Salmon’s Greg Garrison Talks New Album 25, Beer, and the Band’s Big Boulder Theater Shows

Estimated read time 8 min read

When two bands called The Salmon Heads and Left Hand String Band came together 25 years ago on a fateful New Year’s Eve, there was no such thing as “jamgrass;” the term “jamband” hadn’t even been coined yet and groups that would come to define the genre were in their infancy or not yet born. Leftover Salmon would come to be one of those defining groups.

The String Cheese Incident – July 24th – Red Rocks

Estimated read time 6 min read

Last Friday The String Cheese Incident returned to Red Rocks after skipping last summer and though the afternoon storms that have plagued Red Rocks all year long threatened to let loose once again, Mother Nature kept the rainfall to a minimum with only the occasional drizzle and never the soaking deluge that the sky seemed to threaten for much of the early part of the night.

The String Cheese Incident returns to Colorado this weekend for another 3-night Red Rocks run. Cheese throws down for their home state crowd and these shows have been notoriously good, rain or shine.
