The White Buffalo & Chuck Ragan – April 12th – Gothic Theatre

Estimated read time 3 min read

Bearded and tattooed men filled into the Gothic Theatre last Saturday night for a dual-headlining show with rowdy rockers The White Buffalo and Chuck Ragan & the Camaraderie. The beer went down like water but the crowd energy didn’t quite reflect it. Based on White Buffalo shows past, many in the crowd had their papers in order in case they didn’t make it out of this one alive, but it turned out that wasn’t necessary.

The White Buffalo – November 17th – Oskar Blues Grill and Brew

Estimated read time 5 min read

Every time The White Buffalo, steps on stage, straps on his guitar and explodes into one of his lyrically perfect alt-country songs—Johnny Cash sits up in his grave. It’s that simple. The man has soul, and he found himself playing in front of a sold-out crowd at Oskar Blues Grill and Brew in Lyons on Saturday as the headliner of the popular Colorado brewery’s celebration of ten years of canning badass beers. The White Buffalo – March 24th – The Fox Theatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

The White Buffalo has been playing for a while, so he is not new on the scene, but he is new to overpowering it. When The White Buffalo is in the room, he casts a shadow upon those around him. It is not his physical stature, which is formidable, but the raw emotion he pours out in his songs and playing. Simply put it’s his presence that is the most commanding. Opening with “Carnage,” he foreshadowed the night ahead, as he trampled the audience, stole our souls, and left our bodies just lying there.

The White Buffalo – November 11th – The Walnut Room

Estimated read time 6 min read

The White Buffalo is a rarity, both in Native American Indian lore, and in modern music. When they stampeded into The Walnut Room on Friday the man and his band took us through songs about drinking, prostitutes, the road, darkness, murder, love, and loneliness; each one having a totally different sound and feel. Nothing in the entire set was repetitive or redundant. The show took us all to a whole other level of frenzy!
