A healthy mix of hipsters, punk rockers, curious newcomers to the sound, and seasoned vets all showed up to The Fox Theatre on the 17th when Punk Rock / Mariachi hybrid, Mariachi El Bronx came to town on the back end of an eclectic double bill that was rounded out by the emotionally charged gritty rock duo Two Gallants who put on a great show. Both bands were loud, full of passion, and threw together some of the best sets of music we’ve seen in a long time.

After nearly a three year hiatus, and fresh off of a short West Coast and European tour, the bluesy-folk rock duo Two Gallants have hit the road once again on a grueling tour through the U.S.. Before they took the stage at The Hi-Dive last Friday, our own Levi Macy sat down with the duo in the dungeonesque green room to talk about their return and pick their brains about new material that may be on the way.
