Four things things we cherish here in Colorado are music, winter activities, a good cause, and what was the fourth…oh yeah, beer! Last year a festival made its inaugural run that encompasses all of these things we hold so dear. Recently, Listen Up Denver! had a chance to chat with Chris and Susannah about UllrGrass festival taking place January 29th-31st in Golden.

The one summarizing thought about this year’s YarmonyGrass: not enough! Just two days of hardly strictly bluegrass on the Colorado River was not enough. The weekend boasted blue skies, warm temperatures and so many friendly faces gathered at Rancho Del Rio for the best of what Colorado has to offer of Bluegrass and string music. Mountain air, clear skies and incredible once in a lifetime collaborations made YarmonyGrass 2014 one of the most beautiful and unforgettable summer festivals to date.

This weekend brings the annual YarmonyGrass back to Rancho Del Rio, high up in the Rockies–because there’s no better place in the world for a Bluegrass festival. State Bridge concluded their summer season with the annual YarmonyGrass, a festival beloved by Colorado bluegrass lovers that proved it has a loyal local following whose dedication to the music remains unwavering. An annual weekend of camping, swimming, and dancing on the banks of the river – the festival is a Rocky Mountain tradition that will only get better with age. Thanks to Andrew McConathy and the rest of the performers, State Bridge, and the state of Colorado for a fantastic weekend of amazing music; it will not be forgotten.
