Elephant Revival – November 18th – The Bluebird Theatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

As Elephant Revival came on stage at The Bluebird on Friday, their appearance set the tone for the performance before a note was ever played. Period dress for some, bare feet for others, this band looked exactly the way they sound. There were technically advanced instrumental pieces, foot stomping rhythmic explosions, bouncy Reggae inspired riffs, and even some jammed out Country. It was one of those shows that transcended an explanation and demanded you feel it.

The White Buffalo – November 11th – The Walnut Room

Estimated read time 6 min read

The White Buffalo is a rarity, both in Native American Indian lore, and in modern music. When they stampeded into The Walnut Room on Friday the man and his band took us through songs about drinking, prostitutes, the road, darkness, murder, love, and loneliness; each one having a totally different sound and feel. Nothing in the entire set was repetitive or redundant. The show took us all to a whole other level of frenzy!
