Supported by Kool & the Gang, a reunited Van Halen (featuring David Lee Roth) played The Pepsi Center last Thursday to a very excited audience. They sounded as big as their massive LCD backdrop, and gave people exactly what they came to hear. Roger Waters “The Wall” – May 7th – The Pepsi Center

Last night Roger Waters brought The Wall back to The Pepsi Center for an encore performance. Those who missed the show the first time around had their opportunity to see the Pink Floyd legend perform the landmark album in it’s entirety in one of the best touring productions ever staged. With giant puppets, pyrotechnics, airplanes flying in the from the rafters, and of course a massive wall, Waters proved yet again that, even as he pushes 70, he is one of the biggest rock stars on the planet.

Jimmy Buffett – October 18th – The Pepsi Center

The Pepsi Center was filled with Caribbean Soul last Tuesday night. Before music even started, there were beach balls flying, fins waving and Tequila debilitating Parrotheads of all ages. Jimmy Buffett proved his brand is as strong as ever as 15,000 people in Hawaiian shirts sang along to “Why Don’t We Get Drunk and Screw,” “Margaritaville” and “Volcano” as if it was one of the great American past times. On every level it was the feeding frenzy that Buffett inspires everywhere he plays.
