After a brief hiatus while bringing together a fresh lineup, Cornmeal is back at it…and in a big way!  After playing a few select shows in late 2013, Cornmeal  is very excited to be in Denver on Saturday, March 14th at Larimer Lounge.  The new lineup includes the co-writing team and founding members Chris Gangi (bass) and Wavy Dave Burlingame (banjo), along with newest members Scott Tipping (guitar) formerly of Backyard Tire Fire, Drew Littell (drums), and newest member to the Cornmeal family Phil Roach, formerly of The Giving Tree Band, on fiddle.

While the lineup has changed – Cornmeal remains the one of the premier progressive bluegrass and Americana bands and is looking forward to reconnecting with fans on the road in 2014.  The new lineup brings a fresh energetic take on the classic Cornmeal sound which is influenced by American roots and folk music and seamlessly blends lightning fast tempos and impeccable harmonies into an unrivaled live performance.  Cornmeal will be supported by local favorites Coral Creek with Chris Thompson and Bill McKay (formerly of Leftover Salmon and Derek Trucks Band).

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
