On the list of special guests are Tanya Shylock, LaDamion Massey and Paul Creighton – all familiar voices to Motet fans because of their amazing appearances during The Motet’s special “Mixtape” performances over the past couple of years.  New to The Motet stage for select dates… introducing Mr. Lyle Divinsky. The Motet 2016 Winter Tour launches on January 14 in Telluride, followed by 1 night in Aspen and 2 in Keystone. Afterwards, the band zigzags through California and Nevada, including stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Lake Tahoe before ending in San Francisco on February 5 and 6.   The tour resumes on February 18 with stops in the Southeast and Midwest.

Over the past 18 months, The Motet has emerged as a powerful force in the national live music scene.  Last month, after announcing their band mate and forever brother Jans Ingber was departing from The Motet to pursue other personal priorities, the band wrapped up a hugely successful 2015 with two sold-out shows: on New Year’s Eve in Atlanta and at BB Kings in New York City on January 1.  The future is looking bright for The Motet in 2016! Stay tuned for up to the minute news at www.themotet.net and on their official Facebook page.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
