To celebrate their 8th year of live rock music in Telluride, The RIDE Festival is once again hosting a variety of new and veteran artists who will each be bringing their own unique brand of high-energy rock and roll to one of the most beautiful music venues on the planet.
Leading this year’s lineup are a long time Telluride favorite! Athens, Georgia, rockers Widespread Panic will perform a Friday night opening concert, this year’s newest addition to the festival, held on the Fred Shellman Memorial stage. Gates will open at 6:00pm with their performance scheduled from 7:00pm-10:00pm. They will also be the headlining act on the main stage Saturday night.
Sunday night will be headlined by Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit. Hailing from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Isbell has been gaining acclaim as one of the finest singer-songwriters working at the intersection of folk, country and rock today. He has proven himself to be adept at the exacting art of mapping out the territory between those genres.
Making their triumphant return to Telluride, Colorado heroes Big Head Todd and The Monsters will once again be featured on The RIDE lineup along with Colorado rockers Rose Hill Drive, Black Pistol Fire, The Temperance Movement, Dorothy, Big Something, The Shelters, Los Colognes, Pony Bradshaw, The Commonheart, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Thunderpussy and the Denver-based Yawpers. More artists will be added in the coming months, making this a memorable weekend of stellar music for high country rock and roll fans!
Every evening during the festival, attendees will have the opportunity to witness intimate performances in historic venues and funky Telluride taverns. NightRIDE programming offers festival-goers a chance to experience the magic of Telluride with the “bar-hopping” kind of fun that only a small town can provide.
