It’s always one of the highlights of the summer for many and, despite the rain on Friday, this year was no different. Neil Young – July 8th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 6 min read

A light rain trickled down from a sagging, slate colored grey sky. A mostly older crowd—with some youngsters peppered in—ambled up the storied steps of Red Rocks. In between the rocks a colorful crowd was gathering, decked out multi-colored ponchos and rain jackets. While the air was a bit chilly for early July, the air smelled like sweet rain and Colorado’s finest as Neil Young delivered a monster set chock full of classics like “Old Man,” “Walk On,” “Cowgirl In The Sand,” “Unknown Legend,” and many many more.

Martin Sexton – March 29th – The Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

His voice rang through the air, struck with power, and reminded an ecstatic crowd that music is a religion as he didn’t simply simply entertain, but enthralled and moved a nearly full room of fans.

Stephen Stills – November 13th – The Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

As Stephen Stills took the crowd of glowing Baby Boomers that filled The Ogden on Sunday night on a tour of his extensive cataloge, he told stories of the past. From his beginnings in Cambridge and Greenwich Village to his Manassas days on a British Estate he touched on just about everything. Stills brought not only a great sense of nostalgia, but helped connect past with present with songs penned in days of revolution and love. Despite losing a step or two vocally, Stephen Stills is going strong and strongly going ahead into his wiser years.
