Beanstalk Music and Arts Festival – June 12-14 – State Bridge
The Second Annual Beanstalk Music and Arts Festival took over State Bridge this past weekend in beautiful Bond, CO. Youths in dreads mingled with bearded older folks, while bright-eyed flower children rubbed shoulders with the tenured hippie chicks. At State Bridge, families will party with the young and the restless, just so long as their kids are equipped with the most state of the art headphones. Music brings these crews together and they couldn’t be happier.

Lotus – September 8th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre
It’s been over a year since Lotus stole the show on a bill with The Glitch Mob at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This time they returned in full force as the headliner at one of the last and most anticipated shows of the legendary venue’s summer concert series. It was a show that mined the depths of the Lotus catalog and revealed a stunning new cover that served as one of many peeks of an outrageously high energy show and poured even more fuel on the fire under this massive dance party.

Everyone responsible for making this festival happen are building a family based on the simplest of ideas that we all to often forget: have compassion for one another. It was truly a special experience.
Emancipator – November 18th – The Aggie Theatre
Portland producer Emancipator mesmerized a capacity crowd at The Aggie with a night of blissful Violin laced grooves. Over the last several years, he has developed a reputation for making incredibly beautiful tracks that somehow maintain a dancey kick and his performance on Friday night proved that those songs translated better than expected in the live setting. Accompanied by only a live Violinist, Doug Appling won over more than a few new fans as he played right up ’till 2AM.
