The one-day festival is a fundraiser for The CAN’d Aid Foundation and will feature Anders Osborne, New Breed Brass Band, Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds and other special guests.

This past Friday night brought Denver unusually warm weather and a variety of choices for the Denver live music faithful to get down. Down at Cervantes’, J2G Live was ready to deliver their third installment of the Dance Party Time Machine, a collaborative effort of Denver’s finest musicians who come together to throwdown a mixtape of hits from throughout the decades of dance music. After trips through the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more, the time machine landed safely in 2015 to end the evening.

Over five years ago, on a fateful April Fool’s Day, a show was heldthat would lead to the rise of a Denver tradition. Dubbed “Foolin’ Around in the 90s,” the show was a chance for local musicians to come together and show Denver what our stellar local scene is made of. Organized by the guys who would eventually go on to form J2G Live, “Foolin’ Around in the 90s” evolved into one of the funkiest nights of the year.

Campout For The Cause – May 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th – Rancho Del Rio

Imagine a tiny wayside town off the beaten path of another place off another beaten path. This is Rancho Del Rio, site of the annual Campout for the Cause festival. Located four miles from State Bridge in Bond Co and Highway 131, the use of the word “town” for Rancho Del Rio is extravagant. Simply “Rancho,” as the locals call it, is no more than a smattering of small cabins and a local BBQ stand.
