There’s no doubt it was another cold weekend up in Steamboat for WinterWonderGrass, but there are so many hearty, do whatever it takes, music fans that things really heated up with the likes of Railroad Earth, Trampled By Turles, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Billy Strings!
Imagine a tiny wayside town off the beaten path of another place off another beaten path. This is Rancho Del Rio, site of the annual Campout for the Cause festival. Located four miles from State Bridge in Bond Co and Highway 131, the use of the word “town” for Rancho Del Rio is extravagant. Simply “Rancho,” as the locals call it, is no more than a smattering of small cabins and a local BBQ stand.
In sea of musicians of every caliber, this year’s Denver Day of Rock didn’t only showcase some exceptional talent, it brought out the true performers. The ones who know how to play to their audience, entertain them, get them involved, and have them leave smiling from ear to ear because they can’t wait to see you again live! Well done Denver (Day of Rock). Well done.
