Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom got busy early Saturday night, as attendees of the LOHI Music Festival made their way from the event grounds to Five Points for part two. The last set of moe. ended at 10pm, getting fans all hot and bothered and leaving them begging for more. With a new moon on the rise, when the festival ended, it was apparent that Denver was not ready for bed yet. The second half of the festivities included performances from The Pimps of Joytime, Everyone Orchestra featuring members of moe. and the Motet, and The Heavy Pets.

Estimated read time 9 min read

The crowd was nicely mixed at the LoHi Music Festival on Saturday. People of all ages, shapes and styles came out of the woodwork for the third year of Highland Tap & Burger’s annual music to-do. The music of the opening band started at noon and could be heard from blocks away, telling friends, neighbors and passersby that they should stop and take a listen. Throughout the day the two stages of the festival saw Genetics, Tiger Party, The Heavy Pets, The Pimps of Joytime, Joy Porter’s Vital Organ, Chrome Drones and, most fantastically, moe.

LoHi Music Festival – August 4th – LoHi Neighborhood, Denver

Estimated read time 3 min read

Last Saturday, the LoHi Music Festival was held on 32nd Avenue in the heart of the LoHi neighborhood in Denver. The event was a smashing success by all measures, and judging by the smiles on the faces of music lovers everywhere I looked, it was well received by all who attended. This was the second year for the event and, wow did it grow fast! There were people as far as the eye could see from the main stage looking west on 32nd Avenue by the time Particle hit the stage with Michael Kang of The String Cheese Incident around six thirty.

LOHI Music Festival – May 13th – Lower Highlands Neighborhood

Estimated read time 3 min read

The first LOHI Music Festival opened it’s gates on a sunny afternoon last Friday. While the crowd was fairly sparse early in the evening, as the sun started to set, people rolled in from all directions to enjoy the funky sounds that were emanating from the typically vacant lot. This was a great little festival that will hopefully return for an encore later this summer or next year to get some of the kinks ironed out.
