LOHI Music Festival returns to The Highlands this summer with one of the best lineups yet featuring performances by Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Kyle Hollingsworth, Jen Hartswick and Natalie Cressman of from Trey Anastasio Band, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Analog Son, Jason Hahn, Rastasaurus, Greener Grounds and more! A significant portion of the proceeds will go to a local non-profit.

Jack Johnson – August 18th – Red Rocks

Jack Johnson’s tour in support of his #1 album, “From Here To Now To You,” would not be complete without a stop at America’s greatest venue, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, so the singer dutifully played for a sold-out audience last Monday. With his longtime friends in ALO playing the role of opener after stepping in for an ailing Michael Kiwanuka, the curly-haired surfer played a high tide of fan favorite hits, some clever covers, and plenty of the new record, too.

Everyone Orchestra – November 16th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

When Everyone Orchestra makes a stop along the Front Range you can always count on a rousing good time and last Saturday’s Flood Benefit at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom showcased excellent musical theater and a community banding together in the wake of the devastating September floods. Everyone Orchestra is the brainchild of composer and vocalist Matt Butler, who brings together a different crop of musicians to jam and create songs for every run of shows.

ALO & Kate Earl – November 18th – eTown Hall

The light from the large windows on the church turned venue known as eTown Hall poured out into the pitch black Boulder neighborhood for a sold out eTown show with ALO and Kate Earl as families got their houses ready for The Holidays. Though the crowd was not what we expected for one of Southern California’s premiere party bands, eTown never disappoints! From the first notes of “Dead Still Dance,” through the rousing version of “Proud Mary” that closed the night, the musicians gave it their all.

Two weekends ago, Wakarusa, and it’s army of party people and music lovers, lit up Mulberry Mountain in Arkansas. With acts ranging from The Weir, Robinson, Greene Acoustic Trio, to the electro madness of Pretty Lights, the festival offered something for everyone.
