Smooth Money Gesture is infectious Groove Funk with ear twitching space jams, face melting solos, and tight rhythmic changes. The sextet’s sound is rooted in Rock and Roll with elements of Funk, Bluegrass, Metal, and Electronica producing a jam based high energy psychedelic creation all their own. The band released their debut CD “The Grand Scubian: Evolution” the year and Guitarist Doug Dominico recently sat down with Listen Up Denver! to answer our 20 Questions and talk a little about what’s in store for next year.

DeadPhish Orchestra – June 11th – Quixotes True Blue

DeadPhish Orchestra and Cubensis brought The Grateful Dead and Phish to life at Quixotes on Saturday night. As Cubensis cranked out tight versions of Grateful Dead classics inside, DeadPhish seamlessly wove Grateful Dead and Phish tunes together outside on the Patio. With opening sets from The Henhouse Prowlers and The Roy Jay Band it was almost a festival like atmosphere in the club.
