Steely Dan returned to Red Rocks last week. The theme for the show was wet, but the audience was prepared and rain ponchos where the fashion of the day. Elvis Costello & The Imposters opened the night and got the crowd moving with some of his biggest numbers including “Watching the Detectives” and “Allison”. Despite the persistent rain the predominantly baby-boomer audience was in for the long haul, and when the Steely Dan hit the stage they were on their feet and the hits flowed like rain from above.
