PICK OF THE WEEK: The Congress – The Bluebird – August 15th

The Congress is a rock and roll machine and they are throwing a fan appreciation show at The Bluebird on Wednesday night. Returning to the Colfax haunt after their much talked about album release party, this gig will be in celebration of the band’s fans, as well as serving as their tour kick off party. The evening will be recorded in anticipation of an official live release and the guys have other surprises up their sleeves for sure!

His commanding stage presence and exemplary musicianship is at a level that only comes from decades of road wear and tear. This was not Anders Osborne’s first barn-burning performance by any stretch, and when it was all over, he still had a pocket full of matches.
