How does a band remain relevant nearly thirty years later? They do what “X” does and play straight forward honest to God Rock and Roll just like they did when they started in 1977. This was not to be the case when the Aggrolites and Street Dogs headed up a bill that blended several different genres with Punk sensibilities over the course of a lineup that represented a collective 13 or more albums.

Gwar – November 16th – Summit Music Hall

Upon taking the stage, Oderus Urungus share the news of the untimely death of guitarist Cory Smoot with all of us by saying, “Flattus Maximus has decided to return to his beloved Planet Home, and will never return to this mudball planet again.” While the tour’s quintet had become a foursome, the primal need to sexually enslave and or kill the entire human race strangely seemed to lessen the evenings sadness.
