A nearly perfect day gave way to a beautiful night during a great evening of music from two 70+ year old Grammy winners at The Botanic Gardens. While both performers showed us why they had become the legends they are, when all was said and done the sheer power and inspirational nature of Mavis Staples’ set overpowered a more laid back and mellow performance from Dr. John.
