Moon Taxi – November 5th – Gothic Theatre

November is one of the best months for live music in Denver and this past Thursday night was a perfect example as Nashville-based indie/jam rockers, Moon Taxi, returned to the Mile High City. The quintet has seen a steady rise in their Denver fan base since first playing Moe’s Original BBQ almost 10 years ago. After that show lead singer Trevor Terndrup saw the Gothic marquee and said “One day, we will get to play in a place like that.” Thursday night was the realization of that dream.

Wilco – January 19th – The Fillmore

The Fillmore Auditorium was overflowing with hipness and Wilco knowledge on Thursday night as fans squeezed in to not only hear, but also to discuss a band that seems to attract the “highly anticipated” label to every move they make. When all was said and done, there wasn’t a Wilco fan that left unsatisfied. People got to hear all the different sides of this iconic band; the country twang, the indie rock, the smart and detailed song writing, the alternative soundscapes, the harder edge, and the softer side.
