Firefly Autism “Road To Blues & Brews” Artist Interview: Union Driftwood

Union Driftwood, the ever-fascinating Colorado native band, is just picking up their pace. The band debuted in 2011, and even though members have shifted, the current line-up seems to be taking them in the right direction. As a band, they play because they need to. For them it’s more than a hobby, or a passion, it’s true love. Union Driftwood will perform from 4:30 until 5:15 at Park House this Saturday, August 1st.

It is truly cosmic when two stories unfold parallel to one another; pulsing and glowing like two universes swimming side by side in this vast multi-verse we call life. When they touch: Bang! A new universe is created, one in which both entities lock into a cosmic groove and never let go. This is the relationship between the band Stir Fried and the Bianchi brothers of Quixote’s and Sancho’s fame. Sam Bush – April 6th – Quixotes’

On Friday night, Quixotes’ was packed with hippies, flannel shirts, and grey haired music lovers from all walks of life who all came out to see the “King of Telluride,” Sam Bush. The entire venue was wall to wall all the way out the door towards the patio and there were even a few folks standing on the couches near the back and craning their necks for a better view. Bush nodded to Banjo legend Earl Scruggs, covered Leon Russell and threw a good ol’ fashioned hootenanny that made this Good Friday a really good Friday.
