Nine Inch Nails – September 3rd – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

When Nine Inch Nails play it’s always a visceral experience and the band’s two night run at Red Rocks last weekend was no different. With two largely different setlists to satisfy the hardcore fans, Trent and company went at it hard. Our photographer Jim Mimna was on hand to fulfill a longtime dream that started way back in 1994.

Umphrey’s McGee – July 3rd – Red Rocks

A 4th of July weekend at Red Rocks is a special thing. For those who have never been it’s impossible to describe the giddiness, patriotic pride, and feeling of luck that pervades at the world’s greatest concert venue as music fans celebrate the birth of the world’s greatest country. Add to the mix the excitement of a band like Umphrey’s McGee coming to town and it’s a recipe for a truly special night. This July 3rd was no different and a sold-out crowd was treated to a memorable performance.

Rush – August 2nd – The Pepsi Center

Denver’s own Pepsi Center hosted newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of famers Rush on their 2013 Clockwork Angels Tour last week. If the venue wasn’t sold out, it sure looked like it was as every seat for as far as the eye could see was occupied. Whether it was the seasoned, gray haired, Rush faithful, the under 10 crowd that came to the show with their parents, or everyone aged in-between, everyone was treated to a stellar performance by one of the greatest Rock Bands of all time.
