Dirtfoot – The Wakarusa Interview

Luckily for Listen Up Denver!, J Bratlie and Matt Hazelton took a few minutes to talk about Chompdown, the recording of their new album, “Live and In Prison,” and their favorite Waka moments this year.

SunSquabi Talks Wakarusa and Electronic Hydro Funk

Producer and guitarist Kevin Donahue, and bassist Andrew Clymer, have played in countless bands together over the last several years, including a recent stint performing with Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, but they grew tired of playing other people’s songs. Looking for something new, they ended up forming Electronic Hydro Funk band SunSquabi. They were kind enough to sit down with us after their opening set for Juno What?! last Saturday night at Cervantes’, check out what they had to say.

SunSquabi – Catastrophic EP

SunSquabi has been riding a rather impressive wave since their debut at the Global Dance Festival last summer. Their sound is a liquid-funk fusion of live instruments and electronica and they have recently released a new EP entitled Catastrophic. Clocking in at right around 35 minutes, this is a record that is worth a listen, if not four. Get on board with SunSquabi now, because they might just go on to do some pretty big things in the future.
