The acoustic Goose offshoot Orebolo (“Acoustagoose” as my 10 year old daughter calls them) returned to Colorado this past weekend for three nights at two beautiful venues. The first night’s festivities took place at the Gerald Ford Amphitheater in Vail, while the second two nights of the run were held in the old barn at Chautauqua Park in Boulder.

The three nights featured unique setlists with no repeats and showcased some of the group’s brilliant covers of the likes of Elvis Presley, The Grateful Dead, John Prine, and Leonard Cohen alongside favorites from the rapidly expanding Goose catalog.

Setlist: June 10, 2023 Orebolo, Chautauqua Auditorium, Boulder, CO
Set 1: California Magic, Moonrise, Mr. Action[1], Return To Sender[2] -> There Will Never Be Another You[3], Lead Up[1], Hungersite, Hang Me, Oh Hang Me[4], All I Need[5]

Music has always been a part of my life. It probably all started listening to old Grateful Dead, Peter Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkel records that my parents had, but it wasn't long before they were taking me to concerts like Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Huey Lewis & The News. I got the bug to write about music after reviewing an Eric Clapton concert for a creative writing project in high school but didn't really take it up seriously until 2002. Since then I have published countless articles in The Marquee Magazine and done some work for Jambase.com, SPIN Magazine, and various other outlets. I started Listen Up Denver! as a way to share the music information that is constantly spilling out of my head with people who care. Please enjoy!
