Broken Social Scene – October 5th – Summit Music Hall

Broken Social Scene always seemed more like an idea than a traditional band. The Canadian collective was established as a gathering of like-minded artists in Toronto with a laissez-faire philosophy. The various “members” of the group were free to come as they were, when they wanted, and leave the same way. And it worked. For the first half of the first decade of the 21st century, the unofficial leader of this “scene,” Kevin Drew, brought together no fewer than twenty musicians to release three Indie Rock albums considered canon.

On the second night of their two night stand at The Ogden, last Wednesday, TV On The Radio and Broken Social Scene put on an indie rock clinic of epic proportions. Both bands drew from all corners of their deep catalogs and while Broken Social Scene’s set laid the groundwork TV On The Radio triggered a fist pumping dance party.

Days 2 & 3 – Coachella Festival – Indio, CA

As the mayhem of Coachella intensified for days two and three, between the pool and all the music there just wasn’t much time left to post photos.
