Despite the Christmas parties that were raging all over town and a number of good shows packing venues on Colfax and beyond, the 1up-Colfax drew a solid crowd on Saturday night when North American Scum took the stage to perform two sets of LCD Soundsystem . The crowd was an eclectic mix of regulars, hippies, hipsters and 30 somethings looking to spend a few hours with the music of a band that called it quits at the height of their career. There’s no doubt that those who made it out for this were glad they did.

North American Scum plays the music of LCD Soundsystem. The band consists of members of Digital Tape Machine, Cosby Sweater, and Spare Parts. The music of LCD Soundsystem is something that will be forever remembered. Brooklyn native James Murphy has created a catalog of hits that can only be described as high energy party music. The bands last show in 2011 was to a sold out Madison Square Garden!
