Beck, Cage the Elephant and Spoon delivered a psychedelic and pyrotechnic marathon of rock music at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on Tuesday night’s stop of the bands’ Night Running Tour.
The Decemberists & Spoon got together for a huge double bill at Red Rocks last Wednesday night and, despite a monster rainstorm that threatened to wash away the sold-out crowd, both bands delivered memorable sets. When all was said and done, one thing was for sure, The Decemberists will be back at Red Rocks and when they are they should be headlining on their own!

Sporting impressive beards, day-old flannel and t-shirts, and friendly smiles, The Knew and These United States set up shop last Thursday night to play music in front of a faithful crowd at The Hi-Dive. The audience of mostly twenty-something Denverites seemed anxious to hear some good music and weren’t necessarily interested in a cold beer or a flirty conversation. In the late hours of the night, when the lights came up, the bands looked and felt more like old friends of ours than performers.
Tommy and the Tangerines is a Boulder based six-piece band that plays original music with the sounds of classic and indie rock, with a sprinkle of blue-eyed soul and psych-pop. They recently took some time on the heels of a memorable night in Telluride to subject themselves to our 20 Questions. Don’t miss them when they play Denver on Friday night and Boulder on Saturday!
