When The Grant Farm and Fruition recorded their EP ‘Meeting On The Mountain’ they knew they had something special, and so did their fans. While the EP peaked at #8 on the JamBand radio charts, the collaborative experience so struck Tyler Grant and his band they knew that ‘Meeting On The Mountain’ was much more than just a recording. So too did the new Grant Farm manager, who thought that the song and EP turned out so well that the concept should be turned into a series. Thus Meeting On The Mountain the live broadcast was born.

EOTO’s performance art and 3D spectacle of the year, Outer Orbit, concluded in the city that helped them be who they are today. Debuting at the first Sonic Bloom, EOTO has built a large following since their 2006 coming out. Hailing from Colorado and California, the duo consists of The String Cheese Incident’s Michael Travis and Jason Hann and what they have created has pushed the creative limits of what seasoned musicians can think to do. Once again, the Ogden stage proved to be enough space for them to live out their fantasy.
It was a cold, snowy night in Nederland, Colorado. But the town was hoppin’ as it was in the midst of the annual Frozen Dead Guy Days festival. Over at Whistler’s Café The Grant Farm was getting ready to take the stage. Driving up to Ned in an old van was a then little known group of street performers turned club players called Fruition. The “collaborative music project” is an amalgamation of influences and talents. Led by keyboardist Blake Mobely, the group has talent from the likes of STS9, Lotus and The Motet (just to name a few) and seems to impress Denver more and more with each performance. Their second album, “Made of Stars” is set to be released July 12th and we have an exclusive track to share…
The excitement in the air was palpable at 1stBank Center last week. Costumes abounded, glitter and blinking lights dazzled the eyes, and thousands of balloons hung suspended from the ceiling in giant nets. It was a String Cheese New Year’s Eve Incident and no one in the room would have expected anything less. They played well, very well even, but there was something missing this New Year’s at 1stBank. String Cheese fans know what the band is capable of, and on nights like this, the’ve come to expect it . . . for better . . . or worse.
The air was thick with hype as the 1stBank Center filled to a healthy volume early last Sunday. Smiling fans of The String Cheese Incident poured in the doors as the locally-loved band prepared for the second night of their three-part NYE run armed with The Flaming Lips as an explosive opening act and the horns section of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and other special guests during the main act. Together, the varied acts offered a ticket that offered spectacle, musical variety, and amazing talent.
