Cervantes’ celebrated 11 years as an integral part of the Denver scene last weekend and the party they threw on Saturday was nothing short of incredible. The festivities started in the main ballroom with a powerful set from The Great Guys and throughout the night bouncing back and forth between the Ballroom and The Other Side was almost required as Kim Dawson’s Sisters of Soul, Assembly of Dust, Atomga, and Floodwood all whipped the crowd into a frenzy.

Estimated read time 1 min read

Over the last ten years Assembly of Dust has crafted a unique sound that recalls the likes of The Band, Traffic and Neil Young. Hooky melodies, poetic lyrics, and a profound depth of musicianship prompted USA Today to say Assembly of Dust has what it takes to “dazzle the Alt-Country universe.”

Assembly of Dust – January 12th – Summit Music Hall

Estimated read time 5 min read

The mood in Denver was a bit mellow last Saturday after the Broncos disappointing performance in their playoff game earlier in the day and, frankly, the bitter cold weather didn’t help warm spirits much. What did help was a great performance from Assembly Of Dust at Summit Music Hall. They work so hard at what they do and while they aren’t a household name, they should be. It was great to dance alongside people out here in Colorado who recognize how great they are!

PICK OF THE WEEK: Assembly Of Dust – Summit Music Hall – January 12th

Estimated read time 2 min read

Assembly of Dust has a sound that recalls the likes of The Band and Neil Young, but they have taken that early 70’s Americana sound and put their own contemporary spin on it. While they haven’t played Colorado in nearly three years, the band, fronted by former Strangefolk frontman Reid Genauer, should have no problem packing The Summit Music Hall when they come to town this weekend.
