What The Night Brings celebrated the life and legacy of the one and only Jeff Austin and was a show that many in the Bluegrass world had been looking forward to for quite some time. In the words of musical director Nick Forster, it was like all of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival coming together on one night.

Zac Brown Band – July 29th – Coors Field

Estimated read time 5 min read

Saturday night, for only the second time in Coors Field’s history, a major concert rolled in, filling some forty thousand seats in the open air of downtown Denver. The massive stage sat in the center of the outfield, and fans blanketed the field, minus the precious infield. Even to a casual fan, the scale and setting alone was exciting. It had all the grandeur of a show at the Pepsi Center with the charm and comfort of a warm summer night in the open air. Zac Brown Band proceeded to rip through a long evening deep with covers and original hits.

The whole of Red Rocks had a backyard barbeque vibe; someone even brought potato salad. Adding to the BBQ vibe, Colorado’s own bluegrass masters Hot Rize came out with SCI for what they dubbed “Hot Cheese Rizing.”
