The Congress – April 29th – Bluebird Theater

It’s always a party when The Congress plays and last Friday night was no different. With old friends high-fiving and hugging out under the marquee and inside the great little theater on Colfax, there was a feeling of family hanging in the air. When the boys in The Congress lived in Denver they were frequently found at The Bluebird, both as fans and performers. Now they have graduated to the national touring scene and came back to their old stomping grounds to strut their stuff!

Founded by Scott Lane and Jonathan Meadows, the band falls under the influence of the diverse music of their hometown of Richmond, where the spirit of soul music prevails with infusions of jazz, punk rock, and Appalachia. The Congress return to Colorado supported by Megan Burtt and Patrick Dethlefs making this a night of must see music!
