Leftover Salmon & Phil Lesh – May 5th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

Saturday night marked the return of the mighty Phil Lesh to the stage of the majestic amphitheater. It almost goes without saying that a huge contingent in the crowd were Deadheads, both grey-haired and baby-faced, some of whom may have been in attendance 40 years ago when Phil first played The Rocks with The Grateful Dead.

After what has seemed like decades of being plagued by the worst weather imaginable, the stars finally seemed to align for the quartet so those in attendance were ready for the band to finally deliver their Red Rocks masterpiece.

Estimated read time 6 min read

Last Friday The String Cheese Incident returned to Red Rocks after skipping last summer and though the afternoon storms that have plagued Red Rocks all year long threatened to let loose once again, Mother Nature kept the rainfall to a minimum with only the occasional drizzle and never the soaking deluge that the sky seemed to threaten for much of the early part of the night.
