Bill Kreutzmann Talks About His “Kids” & The Cannabis Cup

2015 marks the 50th Anniversary of The Grateful Dead and fans across the country are being treated to a variety of collaborations to commemorate the celebration. One of these collaborations comes from the mind of original drummer, Bill Kreutzmann. His new band, Billy and The Kids, features Aron Magner, Tom Hamilton, and Reed Mathis and they will be playing a special 4/20 show at The Ogden taking on Dead classics from Spring 1990 with special guests Dominic Lalli and Jason Hann.

Electron – January 17th – Gothic Theater

South Broadway was buzzing as Electron closed out their 4 night Colorado run with a sold-out show at The Gothic Theatre. The super group featuring Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits, Tom Hamilton, and Mike Greenfield brought the heat and delighted fans with a mix of Disco Biscuit songs as well as a few Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead covers thrown into the mix. With a packed house and anticipation levels high after rave reviews of the previous three nights, the crowd was hyped and the band did not disappoint.

Anticipation levels were high as Deadheads old and new poured into The Ogden Theatre on Saturday Night. In the past few months the buzz that has followed Joe Russo and his latest project, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has been deafening. Since their inception in early 2013, the quintet has piqued the interest of fans wondering what this group would bring to a songbook that is beloved by so many. When the show sold-out shortly after the doors opened, it was obvious this would be a special night and what unfolded was nothing short of spectacular.
