Twenty and thirtysomethings dressed in their best flannel filled the historic Paramount Theatre Tuesday for multi-instrumentalist indie-rock wonder Andrew Bird. The show marked the end of a nine week tour and it was incredible to watch the master at work. The night was a river of standard indie rock that readily pivoted to something else entirely its own. Adam Granduciel (aka The War On Drugs) took the stage on Friday night before a packed house at The Ogden Theatre and dazzled the crowd with a set that included nearly every song on his stand-out recent release ‘Lost In The Dream.’ Not only did they recreate the layers and atmospheric sounds that are so pervasive on the record, but they pushed the songs to the limit with extended jams and Granduciel’s guitar solos.

The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is a one-of-a-kind music meets beer experience. Sure there are festivals all summer long in this idyllic little mountain town, but none of them blend two things so suited for each other: world class Blues music and world class beer.
