Brandi Carlile – July 14th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 9 min read

Brandi Carlile’s progression as a musician over the last seven years, from Colorado’s most intimate venues to the world’s best outdoor venue has been meteoric. Her path has included four studio albums, endless touring (including a symphony tour), good ol’ fashion fan engagement, two live albums and an unrelenting, and unmistakable, drive to stay true to herself. If Carlile’s first headlining Red Rocks show is any indication of what’s next for her, there is little doubt that whatever it is, it will be special.

Blind Pilot – January 30th – The Boulder Theater

Estimated read time 4 min read

Portland based Folk-Rock band, Blind Pilot, played for a full house at Boulder Theater on Monday night. As the audience stared with rapt attention, their set moved back and forth between their debut album “3 Rounds and a Sound” and their poppy follow-up “We Are The Tide.” The harmonies the group developed around the voice of the even-keeled Israel Nebeker was fantastic and would serve to impress even the most casual of music listeners. All in all it made for a great evening of music in Boulder on Monday!
