Ryan Bingham – September 29th – The Ogden

Despite what Big Gigantic was doing up at Red Rocks, The Ogden was “Rowdytown” on Saturday night. Cowboy Hats and big hair dotted the packed the room and the sweet smell of Whiskey filled the air as Country fans rubbed shoulders with Rock-n-Rollers. It’s been about a year and a half since Ryan Bingham brought his outlaw sounds to Denver and the big box on stage emblazoned with the words “Welcome To The Fist Fight” signaled we were in for a rowdy show well before the former Professional Bull Rider and his new band took the stage.

Ryan Bingham Talks ‘Tomorrowland’ & Rockin’ With His New Band

After flying under the radar of the general public with his first two albums, country influenced songwriter Ryan Bingham exploded in 2010 with the release of the movie ‘Crazy Heart.’ Two years later Bingham has just released his fourth studio album, ‘Tomorrowland,’ and is hitting the road on a lengthy tour in support of the new collection of songs. He was kind enough to take some time with Listen Up Denver! as he rehearsed for the tour with his brand new band in Southern California.

Ryan Bingham – February 25th – The Ogden Theatre

While there are certainly some that pin the Country Artist tag on Bingham and his band, he made it a point during his set to try to toss off that label. With the nearly psychedelic jams that developed out of “Hard Times” and “Direction of the Wind” it’s clear that The Dead Horses are much more than a country band.

Ryan Bingham – February 25th – Twist and Shout Records

Bingham played a heartfelt, 25 minute, solo acoustic set of 5 songs that drew from each of his last three albums.  After opening with Mescalito’s “Dollar A Day,” he dedicated “Tell My Mother I Miss Her So,” to “all the mother’s in the audience.”
