Widespread Panic – June 29th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

Panic lore states “never miss a Sunday show” and that proved to be good advice this year! There is just something different about catching a Red Rocks show in the middle of the day, something that feels like vacation. Good vibes and bubbles hung in the air as white fluffy clouds floated across the deep blue sky and The Rocks looked even redder than usual. Sure, it was hot, like mid-90’s hot, but it wasn’t anything a few ice cold beers and some great music couldn’t fix.

Boulder Theater was home to a bit of an Americana supergroup and for many in the crowd it was a a nervous joy to be that close to musicians as amazing as Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings, and John Paul Jones. Nathaniel Rateliff – November 29th – Gothic Theatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

It was the day after Thanksgiving, and there’s no doubt there was a still a festive spirit in the air at The Gothic despite more than a few concert goers surely shaking out the cobwebs leftover from washing their turkey down with a few too many glasses of wine. As the clock pushed 9pm, the lines on Broadway stretched halfway down the block and a sea of Hipsters, a smattering of Baby Boomers, and a healthy crowd of 30-somethings were more than a little excited to check out the Nathaniel Rateliff double bill that was on tap for the evening.
