Estimated read time 4 min read

Last Saturday night, the Fillmore Auditorium was as full as I’d seen it in years as droves of tireless revelers showed up to support two bands who have both previously played sold-out headlining shows in Denver. It was St. Patrick’s Day, and although most of this crowd had been drinking all day under the bright Colorado sky, they definitely weren’t slowing down.

Judging by the long line that wrapped around the building before doors opened, anticipation levels were high to see what kind of celebratory shenanigans the band had planned. More than six hours after doors opened, the night came to a close and everyone was satisfied as 2016 got off to a raging start.

Lionel Richie – June 11th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Estimated read time 5 min read

The masses descended on Red Rocks last week to hear one of the best selling artists of all time, Lionel Richie. There were, of course, suburban couples in their 40’s and 50’s out in force but there were also a surprising number of 20 and 30 somethings who were clearly raised on this music gracing the benches of the hallowed amphitheater alongside 60 and 70 and seventy year olds who weren’t afraid to brave the steps to see one of the great songwriters take the stage and deliver “all the hits, all night long.”

Lotus – February 8th – Fillmore Auditorium

Estimated read time 4 min read

The line wrapped all the way around the Fillmore Auditorium early on Saturday as Lotus fans made their way to the second show of the band’s two-night run in Denver. Despite some discord about the show’s early set times, it was a great concert. Lotus has a special way of letting their Colorado fans how much they enjoy their company, and they delivered all that on more on Saturday. It was a truly “spiritualizing” evening; one that will certainly be remembered by local fans for years to come.
