Toots & The Maytals – June 11th – The Fox Theatre

Estimated read time 6 min read

The pressure dropped in The Fox on Saturday night as Toots and The Maytals came out firing on all cylinders and transformed the room into a 1960’s Jamaican dance hall. They put on a fantastic set full of the hits and the crowd of old and young, initiated and un, ate it up. The atmosphere was one of a kind and it was beyond inspiring to see young and old alike brought together in song by the power of one man’s words.

PICK OF THE WEEK: Davy Knowles – Saturday May 14th – The Fox Theatre

Estimated read time 2 min read

Though his albums are very solid, it is damn near impossible to catch lighting in a bottle and the only way to truly experience what guitar young phenom Davy Knowles is capable of is to see him live.  He has played with Pete Townshend, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck and Warren Haynes, and, if there is any justice in the world, his name will soon be mentioned in the same breath as any one of these legends.
